PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: This WW2 German Second Pattern Tropical Pith Helmet is in real nice condition with no damage or soiling. All leather trim is intact. Leather chinstrap is real nice and supple. No nothing to felt body. Leather sweatband is in excellent condition. Helmet still retains it's paper size tag. Sweatband is maker marked with the letter "M" in shield. Underside of sweatband is dated 1942 with a size 59 ink stamp. Metal vent to inside top of helmet is stamped : Mayser D.R.G.M.. Hard to upgrade on this one.
