PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: This WW2 Theater Made Fighting knife is in great condition. Handle is made from a .50 caliber shell casing and projectile. Casing is headstamped 42 R A . Handle feels like it is lead filled which helps to balance the knife. Blade looks like it was possibly made from a 16" Garand bayonet. Leather scabbard is also in nice condition and snap functions nicely. Scabbard is named, serial numbered and dated, Jan. 30 1944. Blade measures 8 inches in length. Overall length from tip to base of shell case is approximately 12 1/4 inches. Just a real nice unique quality made knife.
